Mike Richman will challenge David Mundell for the BKFC Middleweight Title on 14 July in Florida. Richman announced the match on social media Saturday.
Richman, a former BKFC interim champ and Bellator MMA veteran, makes his ring return after a loss to Lorenzo Hunt at Knuckle Mania 3.
He knocked Hunt down and had him in trouble when he was caught coming in with a Hunt counter. The punch knocked Richman out, ending one of the most exciting bare knuckle fights in recent memory.
The Hunt loss was the first for Richman (5-1 5 KOs and 1 No Contest) in bare knuckle. There was talk of a rematch but Hunt has been talking about moving up to heavyweight.
“The Marine is dropping 10 lbs to face Mundell for the BKFC Middleweight Title. The BKFC middleweight limit is 175 lbs (79.37 kg).
Mundell enters the bout on a four-fight winning streak. “The Redneck” won the title with a spectacular KO over Francesco Ricchi last December.

Conventional wisdom holds Mundell will try to box and counter the explosive Richman. It figures to be exciting and explosive while it lasts.
