Luke Rockhold and Mike Perry joined Ariel Helwani on today’s The MMA Hour broadcast.
Former UFC champion Rockhold collides with BKFC contender Perry this Saturday at BKFC 41 in Denver.
It’s a highly anticipated match up-the fighters have exchanged words and there seems to be legit bad
blood in the build up to Saturday.
Luke Rockhold: “No One’s Ever Seen Me Box”
Luke Rockhold is making his bare knuckle boxing debut against Perry on 29 April.
The 38-year-old has an MMA record of 16-6 but hasn’t won a UFC match since 2017.
Rockhold lost his last 3 MMA matches before joining BKFC.
Despite the losing streak, the Californian believes his lack of BKFC fights could be an advantage.
“No one’s ever seen me box. No one’s ever seen me isolated in this spectrum, and no one’s seen me move like this,” Rockhold said.
“You don’t know what to expect. I know what to expect.”
Mike Perry: “I’m better Than Every Boxer You Trained With”
Perry isn’t concerned about Rockhold’s boxing style.
“It’s a left or a right. It’s not that confusing,” Perry replied.
“A left or a right hand. Some footwork. Some head movement.”
“You’re a southpaw, I’m orthodox. You’re rangy, I’m an inside fighter.”
“It’s not that confusing but it will be when I’m there in front of you.”

BKFC 41: How to Watch
Saturday’s BKFC 41 event is the promotion’s biggest event to date.
In addition to the Perry vs Rockhold main event, Eddie Alvarez meets Chad Mendez in a battle of former UFC standouts.
Women’s flyweight champ Christine Ferea defends the crown against former titlist “Rowdy” Bec Rawlings.
Former UFC fighters Ben Rothwell and Chris Camozzi will compete in separate bouts, as will former boxing champion Mike Alvarado.
Because it’s such a big event, BKFC is making the event a pay-per-view with a $49.99 price tag.
