BYB Extreme presents its 17th bare knuckle boxing event this Saturday, 13 May.

The promotion is returning to Rock Hill, South Carolina for the fight card, with a pair of world title fights topping the bill.

BYB 17: Championships on the Line

Local lad Joshua “The Preacherman” Oxendine (2-0, 1 No Contest) takes on Mark “The Shark” Irwin (2-0) for the BYB Lightweight Title. The winner will be the promotion’s first-ever lightweight king.

There’s some bad blood between the fighters. On Saturday night, the talking stops and we’ll find out who’s the better bare knuckle boxer.

In the co-feature, Jozette Cotton (2-0 BYB) makes the first defence of her BYB Women’s Welterweight Title versus Jamie Driver. Cotton, who defeated female MMA pioneer Erin Toughill in her BYB debut, won the belt at BYB 12 in London against Miranda Barber.

Driver is also 2-0 in BYB Extreme. She stopped Randine Eckholm in her bare knuckle debut before outpointing Sonya Dreiling at BYB 12.

Trevor Ollison vs Ryan Jett

Before the two title fights, seven undercard matches are scheduled.

Unbeaten Trevor “The Man Blackie Chan” Ollison (2-0, 2 KOs) looks to extend his KO streak against Ryan Jett (1-1, 1 No Contest). Ollison comes off an impressive 1st round KO against fan favourite Isiah “The People’s Champ” Quinones.

Jett showed his toughness and heart in his BYB debut, losing by decision to current BYB interim champ Sam Liera. Jett’s last bout ended controversially-it was ruled a no contest after Jett and opponent Angel Hernandez ignored the ref’s instructions to break up a clinch and kept fighting.

Ollison hasn’t gone past one round. They don’t come much tougher than Jett. It will be interesting to see whose hand gets raised on 13 May.

BYB Extreme 17: Other Bouts

Former title challenger Jordan Mitchell (2-1) returns against MMA veteran Rashad Coulter (1-0). Mitchell has 2 first round KO wins in BYB’s Mighty Trigon.

He unsuccessfully challenged then-champion Tony Lopez for the heavyweight title last May, losing by TKO. Coulter won his BYB debut in March with a first-round stoppage over Quentin Domingos.

In other action, Tyler Sigmon (1-0) faces Kylle McMillan.

Maurice Morris collides with Brian Jackson.

Undefeated Argentinian Pablo Caballero (3-0) returns to the Trigon to face debuting Harold McQueen.

Crowd-pleasing rumbler Mattia Fonda (1-1) is scheduled to face Bamidele Gray (1-0). Gray won a controversial decision in his BYB debut against Art Parker.

Matt Almy meets Kendell Ward in another hard-hitting BYB Extreme bare knuckle contest.

BYB 17: How to Watch

BYB 17 will be streamed globally through the Combatcast streaming service. Fans can catch the action for just $15.99.

The action begins at 7pm EST local time, which is midnight Sunday in the UK.
